Welcome to Pub Songs & Stories, the virtual Public House for Celtic culture and change through music.

I am Marc Gunn. I play Sci F'Irish music. I want to take you on an adventure. I'll share the stories behind my songs as we explore pop culture media through the lens of Irish & Celtic music. You will have fun and sing along, and maybe get a far too real glimpse of yourself.

2024 KICKSTARTER

Jun 6, 2017

Women are under-represented in music in general. Even more so when it comes to pub songs. I'll be honest. I can't think of one women from Ireland focusing on pub songs. In fact, the first place I think of women singing drinking songs is at Renaissance festivals. And so, you'll note several bands in this show from there. Get FREE MP3s at http://pubsong.net.

Do you have a favorite female musician or band? Post in the comments.

Pub Talk

There are new Irish & Celtic Music Podcast t-shirts. Once again designed by James McDaniel II, these feature 2 Celtic women playing fiddle and flute. It reads "Reel Celtic Music" and of course the podcast name. These shirts are limited release. You can only get them in 2017. So order soon.

You can order autographed CDs and swag directly from me when you buy them in my Bandcamp store. Go to celticmusic.org to easily access them. Autographed CDs will only be available for purchase this summer. After that, CD Baby is your best bet. Or if you're concerned about getting CDs in a timely fashion, then definitely go to CD Baby.

I have new videos on my YouTube. I have a new Video Marketing Strategy. I'll be releasing new videos every week. Some will be podcasts. Some are travel videos. Some are promo or news videos. Some are music videos. My goal is to have 2 videos featuring my music every month. But there may be more. Subscribe to my YouTube channel so you don't miss any of them. I'm still developing them. If there's something you'd like to see or learn from me, please post a comment below.
