PUB CHAT

Janine Rinker sent me a happy birthday picture.

What kind of art do you create (if any), and What are your biggest challenges as an artist?

Matt Hughes: "Like you Marc, I am a musician, the biggest challenge for us, is getting people to listen to something other than Pop music or classic rock..."

Joshua Ohmer: "Photography, mostly. Calligraphy, too, but I dabble in a bunch of things. But that's my challenge. I'm a dabbler. It's hard for me to stay focused and create things.

Tina Richardson" I like to paint, sketch sew and and just about anything artsy but my problem is time and space."

Rie Sheridan Rose" Writing, photographing, general mayhem. Not enough time or money..."

Janine Rinker: "I used to write poetry. Now it's mostly pen and ink and/or colored pencil. It's hard to get started, and I had a lot of scientific illustration projects that I was doing for classes, so I'm in the habit of gridding stuff, which is tedious, instead of drawing much freehand. I've got a partly finished alligator and a pathophysiology illustration I may give up on in my sketchbook now, also a flag and puppy picture I seem to have lost the reference photo for."

What cat songs would you like to hear on the show? What song does your cat love to hear the most?

Carol Baril" "My kitties like Wild Kitty and Catnip kitty. Everytime they hear meows they look around for other cats

Vonda Hilyard Heverly: "The Danny Boy one had to have been written about my cat! We sing 'Sonny Boy!'"

Karen Mitchell Carothers" "My cats don't seem to like any music, but I like them all. Trying to remember the title of the one that reminds me most of my cats."

Pat Var: "Lord of the Pounce"
