When I first started listening to the episode, I just figured you were trying to be quiet for Kenzie. We are missing you here at Starfest, but if you get the opportunity to perform closer to home, I can understand that. Looking forward to seeing you again next year.

Hi Marc,
in your latest pub songs podcast you talk about ALEP 2 and about your love for traditional Celtic music, instrumental music. And you kind of regret that you can't play that so well and that the autoharp is not a traditional Irish instrument. It may not be a traditional Celtic instrument, but with its sound sometimes more like a guitar, sometimes more like a harp I think it fits in perfectly. And you play it so well! I really love the sound of autoharp and fiddle playing together, like, for example, on 'Live at the Cactus Cafe' and on 'The Bridge' (my favourites among your CDs). And I'm very much looking forward to the instrumental CD you talked about at the beginning of the year, with Samantha Gillogly and Jamie Haeuser. So, please, try to do it!
A lot of good wishes for you and your family!

I rather like "Gunnies".
"Brownkilts" would be a good mix of Firefly and Celts if it didn't sound like some bad haggis went 'round the Scottish Festival.
I though of one: "podcats". People would probably think it's a misspelling, though.

My nominations for the fan club name are Gunnigans, Celtic Gunns, and Harp Hounds.

Has anybody pointed out that Gunningans sound similar to Gilligan's as in Gilligan's Island? :-)

Thanks for the great podcasts , including the Renaissance Festival and the Irish and Celtic podcasts.

Thank you Sara. I do love Seth Godin's work. It's one of the few blogs I read regularly. And I love having Kenzie around when I work. I like a professional sounding podcast, but I must confess, when she's on, I don't mind. :)

A few weeks ago you were pondering the nature of your purple cow for Dragon Con. I have to admit that I did a little happy dance when you mentioned Seth Godin, whose work I admire.
I have never see you live (waiting for you to make it out to Seattle, but understand it will be awhile) but from listening to your music and your shows, I think that the most unique aspect of your music is how personal it is. Your choice in sing-a-long songs are very compelling. Getting people involved in a performance is a very difficult task that you make look easy. It's too easy to make music a part of the background of our daily lives. When a performer can convince an audience to sing it brings it back into the foreground.
Good luck with Dragon Con and your daughter, she is growing up fast. Every day with her is a remarkable journey and I envy you being able to work with her in the room.
Sincerely
Sara Adams
